Manage Your Hotmail/Outlook.com Connections and Devices
This guide will show you how to check which apps and services, as well as devices, have access to your free Hotmail, Outlook.com, or MSN.com email account.
Important Note: These steps are for free Microsoft accounts. If you have a paid Office 365 email address, these steps may not work. Contact your Office 365 administrator for assistance.
Viewing Connected Apps and Services:
- Sign in to your Microsoft Account: Microsoft Account Management
- Click on the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner and select “Privacy.” (Alternatively, you can use this link: Microsoft account Privacy)
- Scroll down to the “Product and Service Activity” section and click on “View and Clear Apps and Services Activity.” (This link takes you directly there: Microsoft Apps and Services Activity)
- Here you’ll see a list of connected apps and services. Use the “Edit” links to view more details or remove access.
Removing Connected Apps and Services:
By following steps 1-3 above, you’ll reach a list of connected apps and services. Use the “Edit” link next to each entry to review permissions and remove access if needed.
Viewing Connected Devices:
- Sign in to your Microsoft Account: Microsoft Account Management
- Click on the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner and select “Devices.”
- You’ll see a list of devices currently accessing your account.
- Click on “Show Details” for a specific device.
- If needed, use the “More actions” link to remove the device from accessing your account.
