Connecting Your Email to SaneBox with Gmail
There are two main ways to connect your other email account to SaneBox using Gmail:
1. Link Accounts with Gmailify (IMAP):
- This is the preferred method and works best for most email providers.
- Follow these steps:
- Open Gmail on your computer and go to Settings > Accounts and Import.
- Click “Add a mail account” and enter the email address you want to link.
- Choose “Link account with Gmail (Gmailify)” and follow the on-screen instructions.
2. Import Emails from Another Account (POP3):
- This method is less convenient and may not work with all email providers.
- Use this only if your provider doesn’t support Gmailify (IMAP).
- Follow these steps:
- Open Gmail on your computer and go to Settings > Accounts and Import.
- Click “Add a mail account” and enter the email address you want to link.
- Choose “Import mail and contacts” and fill out the server details provided by your email provider.
- Follow the remaining on-screen instructions for verification.
Important Notes:
- Gmail will automatically fetch your emails regularly. You can manually fetch them if needed (instructions not included).
- Gmail doesn’t import existing folders from your other account. To transfer past emails, move them to your Inbox before linking.
