Apple Mail: Setting up your Sent folder

This guide helps you ensure your sent emails are saved in the correct location within Apple Mail.

Here’s what to do:

• Open Preferences:
  • Launch your Apple Mail app and navigate to Mail > Preferences.

Access Mailbox Behaviors:

In the Preferences window, click on the Accounts tab. Then, select an email account from the list on the left side. Finally, click on the Mailbox Behaviors button.

Choose Your Sent Folder:

Under “Sent messages,” a dropdown menu shows potential locations for your sent emails. Select the folder designated as your “Sent” folder on your email server.

No Restart Needed:

You don’t need to restart Apple Mail after making this change. Sent emails from now on will be saved in the chosen folder.
