Finding Your SaneBox Folders in Apple Mail on macOS
SaneBox works seamlessly with Apple Mail, helping you organize your inbox without compromising security. Here’s how to find your SaneBox folders:
Your Emails Stay Secure:
SaneBox prioritizes your privacy. All emails remain on your email server – SaneBox never downloads or uploads them.
Finding Your SaneBox Folders:
- Open Apple Mail and ensure the “Mailboxes” panel is visible. (Click the “Mailboxes” button in the top left corner if hidden.)
- Expand your email account’s folder tree (click the downward arrow next to the email count oval).
- Locate and select the “@SaneLater” folder. (Other SaneBox folders you activate will also be visible here.)
Troubleshooting Tips:
- Exchange Accounts: Right-click your inbox and select “Get account info” to prompt Apple Mail to refresh your folder list.
- Missing Folders: Use the “Mailbox” menu’s “Synchronize” command or toggle your accounts offline and back online to refresh the view.
- POP vs. IMAP: SaneBox requires IMAP access. If you’re using POP, visit https://pop2imap.com for instructions on switching.
Advanced Troubleshooting:
If the above steps don’t work:
- Re-add Your Email Account: Delete the existing account entry in Apple Mail preferences and re-create it. This ensures a fresh start and proper folder synchronization.
- Apple Mail Support: Refer to Apple’s support resources for further assistance.
Remember: With IMAP, emails remain on the server, and changes made through SaneBox will reflect in your Apple Mail folders.
