How Do I Delete Multiple Emails At Once?

Ever look at all of the junk in your email account and wish there was just one big delete all button?


Many email hosts and clients actually have a similar function. Here are some of the most common that we’ve seen:


Webmail:

Gmail: While the provided link doesn’t work, you can follow these steps to delete all emails in Gmail:  

  • Go to your Gmail inbox.
  • Click the checkbox at the top left to select all emails.
  • Click the “Trash” icon.
  • A pop-up window will ask you if you want to delete all conversations. Click “OK” to confirm.
  • Yahoo Mail: I couldn’t access the info from the provided link, but you can generally delete all emails in Yahoo Mail by going to your inbox, selecting all emails, and then clicking the delete button.


Outlook Web Access:
You can delete all emails in Outlook Web Access by following these steps:

  • Sign in to Outlook on the web.
  • At the top of your inbox, above the message list, select the checkbox.
  • Select Delete.
  • All the email in your inbox will be moved to the Deleted Items folder.
  • To permanently delete the messages, right-click the Deleted Items folder and select Delete all.
