SaneBox helps you stay on top of your important emails by filtering less important ones. Here’s how to train SaneBox to personalize your experience:
Training Methods:
Drag & Drop: Simply drag emails between your Inbox and SaneBox folders (like SaneLater or SaneNews) in your email client.
Trainings & Filters Page: Access all past training actions and edit them.
SaneBox Digest: This daily email summary allows you to quickly train emails from your sane folders.
Advanced Options: Advanced Filtering, Domain Filtering, Subject Filtering
What Goes Where?
Inbox: Reserve your Inbox for critical emails requiring immediate attention.
Power Up with SaneBox Digest:
Receive a daily summary of unread emails in your sane folders. Quickly scan and prioritize emails you might have missed. You can increase summary frequency by adjusting your Email Notification Preferences: (Settings)
Cleaning Up with Email Cleanup Tool:
This tool lists recent emails from your Inbox and active training folders and quickly train SaneBox on important senders. Learn more: Email Cleanup Tool)(Guide)
How long does it take for my training moves to take effect?
Our SaneBox systems notice almost immediately for any training moves you make from your unimportant folders and back to your Inbox. When training from your Inbox to other Sane folders, please allow us 5-15 minutes to notice the change.
Training Speed:
- Training changes from unimportant folders to your Inbox are immediate.
- Allow 5-15 minutes for Inbox-to-SaneBox folder training to take effect.
Trainings Page and SaneCC:
- The “include in SaneCC?” checkbox lets you manage emails relevant for SaneCC functionality.
- New elements not yet trained won’t appear in the Training list.
- Training an email to a new folder outside its default folder also disables inclusion in SaneCC.
Important Note for Webmail/Client Training:
If you disabled webmail and email client training, you can only train via online tools like Digest, Organize, and the Trainings page. Moving emails between Inbox and SaneBox folders will cause them to revert back.
Training Mailing Lists:
Mailing list emails are trained as “services” by default. Change this behavior to label messages based on individual senders.
Missing SaneBox Folders?
SaneBox folders are server-side like your Inbox. They should appear across all your email clients and devices. If not, try syncing or updating your folder list in your email client app. For detailed instructions on finding your SaneBox folders, refer to this guide: (Finding SaneBox Folders)
